Genre: Contemporary Romance, Anthology
Sensuality: MILD

RT Rating

This wonderful collection of 12 love stories doesn't rely on sex to get messages of love and romance across to readers. It's nice for those times when a quick read is all you need.

In "Prickly Heat" by Marty Tidwell, foreman Pete supported Goldie in her times of need for years. Now that he wants to settle down and marry, will she sacrifice her heart for him? Sunny's friends dare her to go dancing with Jake in Nancy Connally's "The Double-Dog-Dare Dance." Christine Crocker's "The Ring" has Jeannie, after 25 years of marriage, needing to tell Charlie something that may upset him. A lost bet puts Eva at a dance with Baxter, the most sought-after bachelor in Brown County in "Someone to Run To," by Mary Malcolm.

"Shotgun Seduction," by Angi Morgan, has Sean taking a job that will bring him back to the woman he loves and was forced to leave. A warrant for the arrest of her aunt's godson brings Nicole to Texas, but it's the godson himself that may keep her there in Arline Todd's "Bounty Hunting, Texas Style." Rounding out this collection are stories
by Jen FitzGerald, Nikki Hollaway, L.A. Mitchell, Gina Lee Nelson, Beth Shriver and a second story by Tidwell. (Wild Rose Press, Feb., 240 pp., $11.99)

Here I Go Again!

It's been awhile, yes I know--but much has happened sine A Lady in Deed. I graduated college, moved to South Dakota, and became a teacher.....but still writing!

In fact, seeking to publish my first novel The Lone Deciever (which has been under my bed for years!). Been shopping my baby around and perhaps I get a bite. Right now one agent and one publisher are re iewing partials. So hoping for a Merry Christmas and a happier New Year.

New Resolution

New Years Resolution:

Write. Blog. Write.

Vague, yes, but I've never been one to paint myself into a corner. I do plan to start this year off to a good start. I even purchased a Core ball...and even plan to pump it up soon.

In the publishing front, I am happy to report that all the authors in the Love, Texas Style Anthology have undergone and completed line edits and copy edits. So now we wait.

<-- As you can see, we've agreed upon the gorgeous cover art and hope the March '08 release date still stands!
Check out my website at nikkihollaway.com for excerpts to the upcoming A Lady in Deed.

A Lady in Deed

Well its offical, my short romance will be pubbed! Yea! I got my contract today and I swear nothing will bring me down to earth! I'm on cloud 18.
This project was one of my fastest works (yes, yes I know it was a short) and it has been my Cinderella. This baby is headed to the ball!
So here begins my journey from the unknown into the world of being a pubished author...
